Valenveras, has developed an NIR model to analyse cannabinoids in Cannabis sativa L. flowers.
We offer a fast, economical, robust and environmentally friendly method based on NIR technology that allows the quantification of the main cannabinoids and terpenes.
Apart from drying and homogenisation of the sample, no preparation, consumables, laboratories, chemicals, maintenance and qualified personnel are required.
In only 30 seconds, 6.330 readings can be performed on the same sample, allowing the quantification of cannabinoids (THC, THCa, CBD, CBDa, CBG) with a cross-validation coefficient of determination (R²CV of 0.95) with standard error of prediction values, comparable to the precision of a standard laboratory analysis.
The reference method by which this model has been developed is based on the following certificates:
- Certificate of Testing and Calibration Laboratories according to standard UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17025 Certified y AENOR.
- Certificate of conformity of the Quality System according to UNE EN-ISO 9001:2015 .Nº ER-0457/2010 Certified by AENOR.
- Certificate of conformity of the R&D&I Management System according to the UNE 166002:2014 standard. Nº IDI-0017/2009 Certified by AENOR.
The main characteristics of the readings are:
- Instantly
- Non destructive
- Affordable
- No reagents
- Without
maintenance
- No qualified
personnel
What’s NIR?
“Near-infrared reflectance (NIR) spectroscopy is a nondestructive analytical technique used to measure the chemical composition of a sample. This technique is based on the absorption of light in the near infrared region by the chemical bonds of molecules present in the sample.
NIR spectroscopy is used in a wide variety of applications, from agriculture to the pharmaceutical industry. In agriculture, it is used to measure crop quality, moisture and nutrient content in soil. In the pharmaceutical industry, it is used to monitor the quality of drugs and to identify and quantify the components of formulations.
NIR spectroscopy is a fast, non-destructive technique that allows the measurement of multiple components in a sample in a matter of seconds. In addition, it is a non-invasive technique that does not require sample preparation, making it ideal for the analysis of delicate or expensive samples.
In summary, NIR spectroscopy is a powerful and versatile analytical technique used in a wide variety of applications. Its ability to measure multiple components in a sample in a matter of seconds makes it a valuable tool for research and quality control in a wide variety of industries.
NEW MODEL – CAN NOW ANALYZE EXTRACTS!
