Making this butter can be a bit tricky, as it\nis important to use the right temperature to activate the psychoactive part of\nthe plant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To be able to achieve this, the flower must\nbe heated slowly at a low temperature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;The\nfirst step of the process is to decarboxylate the cannabis flower.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>What is Decarboxylation?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the trichomes of the fresh flowers, you\nhave the cannabinoid called THCA (tetrahydrocannabinolic acid). To be able to\nconvert this THCA into THC (the psychoactive ingredient of the plant), we need\nto pass through the process of Decarboxylation first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The necessary catalytic agents for\ndecarboxylation to occur are: heat and time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the main reason why is important to\ndry and cure your cannabis. When you are doing this process, that\u2019s also a\npartial decarboxylation, but often you will still get some THCA in the plant\ntogether with some THC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you smoke the plant, that acts as an\ninstant decarboxylation because of the heat being applied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When making edibles, it is important that\nthe THC is already present, so that our bodies are able to absorb it. <em>\u201cHeating\ncannabinoids at a lower temperature over time allows us to decarboxylate the\ncannabinoids while preserving the integrity of the material we use so that we\nmay infuse it into what we consume.\u201d-<\/em> Leafly<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>HOW TO MAKE THE CANNABIS INFUSED\nBUTTER?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Keep in mind that you could also use\ncoconut butter, or oil, instead of normal butter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>INGREDIENTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>1 cup of butter<\/li><li>1 cup (7-10 grams) of ground\ncannabis, decarboxylated<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 1: Decarb your cannabis<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Pre-heat the oven to 115 degrees Celsius.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Place the cannabis on a non-stick surface<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Set timer to 30 \u2013 40mins<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-We recommend that every 10 mins you shake\nthe tray a bit, or mix the cannabis to make sure all surface get heat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 2: Grind<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Using a grinder, grind the decarboxylated\ncannabis buds<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 3: With 1 cup of water melt butter<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Add 1 cup of butter and 1 cup of water to a\npot, and simmer at low temperature for the butter to melt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 4: Add the cannabis<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the butter melts add the ground cannabis.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 5: Simmer<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maintain in low heat and let it simmer for\n2 \u2013 3 hours. Don\u2019t let it boil. Stir occasionally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 6: Strain<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Put a funnel on a jar and line it with\ncheesecloth.
